The just-concluded season of Oshana Village Based Football League Third Division held a ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate some of those individuals and companies who played a pivotal role in its success.
During the ceremony that took place in Ongwediva on 26 August 2023, Mr Arvo Mufeti was honoured with the award of ‘Most Supportive Person’ during the season.
Others who were honoured are such as Johannes Amunyela who received the award for ‘Most Disciplined Player of the Season 2022/23’.
The ‘Best Goalkeeper Award’ went to Kristian Hanyala of Golden Stars FC.
Best Defender Award: Eugenius Nambalu of HP Campus FC.
Best Midfielder Award: Sakaria Hango of Golden Stars FC.
Best Coach of the Season: Mathew Hangula of Golden Stars FC.
Top Goal Scorer: William Heicky Iyambo (of Heicky Land Surveyors FC) and Johannes Shixwa (of Golden Stars FC.)
Player of the Season: Sakaria Hango of Golden Stars FC.
Best Referee of the Season: Abraham Alweendo.
The League Sponsors who received recognition are: Okapya Liner Transport, The Trophy Palace, Woza Network, Palm View Park, General Kambonde Trading cc, General Kambonde Financial Services cc, and Kullo Investments.
Golden Stars Football Club, being the league winner, received a full kit sponsored by Okapya Liner Transport, a trophy and cash of N$3,200.
