Letshego Bank has announced that it will now become a commercial bank that serves everybody, and not just Government employees as it was the case in the past.

In a statement, the bank’s communications officer Ms Ongame Mutorwa said that in a world where economic landscapes continually evolve, the affordability of basic necessities often becomes a pressing concern for households.

“Letshego Bank Namibia recognises the significance of easy access to lending solutions in improving livelihoods.  In response, we are proud to announce our latest achievement – the launch of our Personal Loan solution, now accessible to all qualifying Namibian residents, transcending the exclusivity previously reserved for government employees,” she said.

Adding that “at Letshego Bank Namibia, our unwavering commitment to fostering financial inclusion and responsible lending practices propels us to innovate and redefine our offerings continuously. This Loan solution is designed to cater to the diverse financial needs of our communities.

“Whether you are an ambitious entrepreneur seeking to kickstart or expand your business, an urban or rural homeowner aspiring to enhance your living environment, a forward-thinking farmer considering investments in livestock, or an individual with dreams of pursuing higher education, our Personal Loan solution is here to empower you on your journey towards creating wealth and financial stability.

“Our Loan solution offers competitive interest rates that are closely aligned with inflation rates.  Additionally, we prioritise a quick turnaround time for applications and provide flexible repayment options.”

Ms Natasha Winkler, Head of Marketing and Products at Letshego Bank Namibia, emphasised Letshego Bank’s dedication to responsible lending, stating, “Responsible lending is at the heart of our mission at Letshego Bank Namibia.  We take our role as financial stewards seriously and are committed to ensuring our clients make informed financial decisions.  We aim to empower you with the financial tools you need while ensuring that managing your repayments is less stressful and attainable.”

Winkler added, “As Letshego Bank embarks on this exciting journey of expanding our banking offerings to a wider segment in the market, our commitment to financial inclusion and responsible lending remains unwavering.  In addition to loan products, we have introduced low-cost bank accounts and savings solutions with competitive returns.  We are enthusiastic about the positive impact our solutions will have on the lives of Namibians, enabling them to seize opportunities, achieve their financial aspirations, and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.”

With the new approach, Mutorwa stated, Letshego Bank Namibia is now more than just a bank. “We are your dedicated financial partner, committed to providing support when it matters the most.  Together, we aim to alleviate economic challenges faced by households across Namibia, ultimately contributing to the growth and prosperity of the Namibian economy.”
