The second edition of Amunganda Festival (Amunganda Festival Vol. 2) is taking place at Amunganda village, just a few kilometres to Eheke settlement, in Oshana Region, from 28 December 2023 to 1 January 2024.
The event is aimed at giving opportunities to small businesses and bringing festive season entertainment to rural areas.
The 4-day event will consist of the following: Business stalls, Football (soccer tournament, legend penalty shootout), and Fun games (pool table competition, playing cards, etc.).
The business stalls are available to local business owners from nearby villages whereby they can sell food and drinks; which will be a good opportunity for them to generate income.
For soccer, N$10,000 is up for grabs for those teams which registratered for a fee of N$700.
Other sporting activities include penalty shooting, Pool table competition, Playing cards, etc.
So much effort has been put in to organise the event and everyone around the villages of Eheke and Omaalala, and even those as far as Ondangwa and Oshakati are expected to be at the festival.
