Respect everyone
By Josefina “Ndeshi” Gabriel |
I have come to realize that everyone is needed in life and anyone is unique in his or her own way.
So that no one is better than the other due to what they have or how they look.
We always judge the book by its cover but we supposed not to be like this, because this can take us to the wrong answers and bring us to mistaken conclusions of someone’s life.
We tend to respect people who are well-dressed or they seem to have money. As a result most of the time you end up doing good things to people who look good, or we give to those who already have, and you deny the one who is not having anything while we supposed to give to those who need our help.
Usually you get seduced, enticed and attracted by out-looks but sometimes it’s not always that outward looks determine the inner person. I mean the person can look good outside and yet inside he or she is bad.
A person can be beautiful or handsome, but inside the person could be evil.
And a person can look badly in appearance, yet inside the person is good. He or she can seem to be weak but they can be able to do something. A person can look poor, passive, and useless but he or she is the best person ever who is having all you need to be assisted with.
Therefore we must respect everyone and avoid making judgements; it doesn’t matter who the person is.
The person could be physically impaired, small, rich or poor, single or married, young or old, active or passive, clean or dirty, all these people are the same before God and unique in their own way.
Everyone has a story behind his back; don’t blame someone for living in that way.
We need to love and respect each other because one can run faster and you can’t. One can build, count, walk, sell, teach, preach, create, advise, control, give, clean, cook, protect, treat, plan, drive but you cannot do it all, so we need each other so that we can bring up something because one hand cannot handle it all.
Most of the time the person you despise might be the person who can help in your time of need. The kid who you consider small is the one who is going to secure your future. The old man you consider too old to do anything is the person who might be praying for your success.
Just respect everyone because you never know who will be there that day of your failures and problems.
