Most people want to own a house, but they do not know the steps one needs to take on the way to owning a house.
For this reason, social entrepreneur, Dream Bond, is set to revolutionise the housing market by promoting literacy within the buying and selling process for home owners.
As part of strategic objectives toward this end, the company is hosting the first of its kind affordable housing expo.
Dream Bond, which is primarily a real estate and bond origination business, says that aspiring Namibian home owners have struggled with having the right information, insights and platforms needed to determine best value before buying.
“Our company recognised this gap and established operations to address these needs and seeks to bring buyers ease of mind throughout the entire process,” says Ms Mildred Xawes, Dream Bond’s general manager.
The company came up with an idea that seeks to make Namibians understand the entire housing value chain and how they can position themselves to benefit from it.
“The Expo which is open and free to prospective buyers and general public, will offer valuable insights into the Namibian housing industry.
“Providing comprehensive information on innovative property technologies, development funding, land availability for developers and specials currently being offered by public and private institutions, the Expo is set to bring together stakeholders exclusively around housing in Namibia.”
Xawes further points out that the core focus of the Expo is to provide a unique platform, connecting developers, buyers and sellers in the affordable housing segment.
The Expo, slated for 17th to 19th of October, at the Gateway Conference Centre in Windhoek, will also prominently feature property developments in Rehoboth and Okahandja, as an alternative for residents challenged by finding affordable housing in Windhoek.
“Plans exist for a national affordable housing road show, which will feature property developments in all regions of the country,” states Xawes.
