Former Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTC) employee Mr Joseph Nghilonguandunge Nakalemo says that he will not give up his fight for justice despite a combined “criminal syndicate” involving a senior MTC employee, the police chief, judges of the High Court, and a prominent legal practitioner.
In the latest bout Nakalemo takes on Mr Sisa Namandje of Sisa Namandje & Co. Inc., who, he says, has joined the criminal syndicate involving MTC’s Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer Mr Tim Ekandjo, Police Inspector General Lt. Gen. Joseph Shikongo and some High Court officials.
Nakalemo has revealed his unwavering spirit in his quest for justice in a statement he sent to the media dated 31 March 2025. His statement of 94 pages came as a response to a statement by Mr Namandje dated 17 March 2025 which was addressed to the Windhoek Observer and the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation.
In his statement Mr Namandje had said that the two media companies had reported untruthfully on allegations of Mr Nakalemo in an article titled “Joseph Nakalemo has asked Law Society of Namibia to suspend Sisa Namandje as a lawyer” published on 15 March 2025.
“As a direct result of you not acting in accordance with the generally accepted good journalistic practice, readers were fed with an entirely unbalanced story which was reported out of context and with absolutely no background investigation,” Namandje said.
“Your action smacks of a muckraking journalist buoyed by a vicious urge to savage and violate people’s dignity for ulterior purposes. Your action was both slothful and mischievous.”
Namandje stated that the complaint of Mr Nakalemo which was filed with the Law Society of Namibia “has no merit whatsoever. It will inevitably be dismissed in a summary fashion. It is a nasty attempt to intimidate lawyers by a disgruntled and demented litigant after losing cases in court.”
But Nakalemo said in his own statement sent to all the local media that Namandje was not speaking the truth.
“I caught Mr Namandje red-handed clearly committing judicial corruption right at the High Court working together with High Court Judges, at first his Lordship Justice Kobus Miller (Rtd) and the latest her Ladyship Justice Beatrix De Jager and those are the same High Court Judges working together with the Registrar,” Nakalemo said.
“I am here to set records straight regarding the document that was circulated online titled ‘Namandje’s Response to NBC and Windhoek Observer’.”
According to Nakalemo, Namandje has resorted to aggressive and confrontational behaviour, including making threats against media houses.
“It is imperative to note that I have not filed my affidavits with the media houses for him to run to the media claiming that he will not respond to the allegations and attempting to discredit me by questioning my mental capacity and stability.
“These actions are deliberate attempts to garner publicity, shape his own narrative, influence public perception, and divert attention away from his accountability as a Senior Counsel of the High Court.
“Mr Namandje engaged in unethical, dishonest and dishonourable conducts related to perjuries and obstructing the course of justice that happened right at the High Court under the watchful eyes of the Presiding Judicial Officials, namely his Lordship Justice Kobus Miller (Rtd) and his now predecessor, her Ladyship Justice Beatrix De Jager, as the latest Managing Judge and he cannot defend himself either.”
Nakalemo stated that Namandje has been doing unlawful practices in order to assist Mr Tim Ekandjo who has been trying to silence Nakalemo by any means possible.
It all started when Nakalemo, who, he said, as Network Management and Technical Quality Administrator for MTC, uncovered a N$1.29 billion corruption case at MTC. As he reported the corruption to the senior management of MTC, the management turned against him, started victimising him and created false charges in order to get rid of him from the company.
“Drawing from personal experience, I can attest that Mr. Tim Ekandjo is such an individual who leverages financial means to coerce, persuade, and bribe in pursuit of facilitating criminal activities to satisfy his objectives,” Nakalemo stated.
“On 9 October 2020, he attempted to bribe and persuade me into silence. However, I firmly rejected his approach, making it clear to him on 19th October 2020 that I would not compromise my principles or integrity for money.
“His efforts to influence me were unequivocally unsuccessful and from that moment to date he is still on a campaign to have me put down. Prior to offering me monetary compensatory bribes, persuasion, fake apology and fake reconciliation on 09 October 2020 as means to silence me following the fact that their secret plan to assassinate me was leaked, Mr. Tim Ekandjo had orchestrated a series of fabricated disciplinary hearing cases through Mrs. Maria Kavari, a young employee at MTC.
“These efforts resulted in up to seven disciplinary hearings cases, with dozens of baseless charges brought up against me. Despite these attempts, the internal disciplinary hearings failed to find me guilty on their various fabricated cases.
“When those efforts proved unsuccessful, Mr. Ekandjo resorted to hiring an external legal practitioner, an action that violated MTC policy. This led to my unfair suspension without charges and subsequently dismissal based on fabricated information derived from my Labour Court submission documents.
Among other charges, Nakalemo also said: “Furthermore, Mr. Ekandjo conspired with NAMPOL and further involved Mrs. Maria Kavari to fabricate a criminal case against me under CR/462/05/2019.
“In the meantime, several attempts were/are still being made and ongoing to have me destroyed spearheaded by Mr Tim Ekandjo and the Inspector General of the Namibian Police, LT Gen Joseph Shikongo, like I have stated earlier.”
Nakalemo also said that the criminal syndicate had made plans to kill him. So far the syndicate only succeeded in robbing him of his cars.
“I provided everything to the Supreme Court and how they did it, they failed to kill me on 20 February 2024 but they managed to rob off my Ford Ranger Wild Track and my vehicles,” he said.
“Till today my vehicles are still on my name at NATIS since I am still alive and none of them could proceed further, but I do not know where they are currently. The Registrar of the High Court played a direct role in this robbery by changing the judgement of the Judge delivered in the open Court.”
When contacted for comment concerning the charges of Mr Nakalemo against Mr Tim Ekandjo, MTC’s communications practitioner Mr Erasmus Nekundi said: “Kindly refer to Mr Ekandjo’s lawyer statement that was issued to all media in which the issue has been addressed. Other than that, MTC has no desire to entertain [Nakalemo].”
