Northern mahangu farmers have started with work to harvest their fields. This is after good rains were received during the current rainy season.

It is expected to be a bumper harvest for most of the mahangu farmers in most parts of the northern regions.

“This year was quite challenging in the beginning as the rain was late,” said Ms Mirjam Nendongo, a mahangu subsistence farmer in Ruacana Constituency.

“But when the rain came eventually by mid-January, it did rain very well. So we expect a good harvest.”
