Paulus “Ninja” Shimwefeleni will be back in the ring for a rematch against Harry “The Terminator” Simon on 14 June, where “things will not be the same”.
Shimwefeleni, well-known as Ninja, will again face the undefeated Simon after their 9 December 2024 fight ended in a draw.
“It was my first time in the ring, and I was coming from prison, and I was facing the champion,” Ninja said at a press conference held today in Ongwediva.
“He was there beating me. It’s okay. But things have changed. Since December I am in the gym, training with three trainers. I want my fans to be proud of me now since I disappointed them the first time.”
The boxing will take place at Oshakati Independence Stadium, from where the proceeds will go to fund a research on crime statistics in the country to be done by Faith Foundation, an organization aiming at making a difference in the fight against crime and poverty.
Ninja has promised his fans to expect nothing but the best from him in just his second fight of his new boxing career.
“For the last match I was not prepared, it was a short time, and also my first time in the ring. But I stood my ground. Now I have added skills. I am an elephant; an elephant does not fall down by the wind. I am going out for revenge. My fans must start already celebrating.”
However Harry Simon had few words. He said he had just arrived during the night in the north and he was tired.
“As of now I have not much to say. But come two weeks, after I have finished with my training, I will be able to say whether I will finish Ninja in five seconds, ten seconds, or in four rounds.”
The rematch will also see some local boxers in the ring, and also some entertainment from top artists such as Ras Sheehama and Tate Buti.
