The Old Mutual Youth Indaba which took place on 12 February 2025 at Ongwediva’s University of Namibia Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus was an occasion to share useful life lessons which could one day make one to easily move from the learning phase to the earning stage of life.
With the theme titled: “From Learning to Earning: Creating Sustainable Futures”, the one day of discussions with experienced professionals was a moment for young people to lay a brick as they build their futures in a country of high youth unemployment and little economic opportunities.
But it was also an occasion where two lucky young people walked away with N$20,000 worth of financial support towards their studies.
All the close to 150 young people who attended the event were entered into a draw.
The first one to come out of the lucky draw was Rachel Thomas, a first year education student, who received the N$10,000 support from Old Mutual Foundation.
Stella Diogenus, who is a second year education student, also became the lucky one as she received the second N$10,000 worth of support from Old Mutual towards her studies.
