The Chairperson of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Eenhana Branch in Ohangwena region, Ms Linea Haimbodi, addressed the Women in Business Association (WBA) seminar, calling for professional excellence among micro-entrepreneurs.

Haimbodi emphasised that transforming the local economy starts with maintaining tidy and decent operating facilities and adhering to high work ethics to ensure products reach formal markets.

She encouraged members of the association to master precise pricing modalities and value addition, noting that without these skills, competing in the continental market remains a daunting task.

Furthermore, she urged the women from all the eleven constituencies of the region to mentor one another and strengthen their networks, as this will foster a culture of mutual support and shared growth within the Ohangwena business community.

The seminar was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender and Child Welfare, where close to 100 women were invited, at which a regional leadership for Women in Business Association was elected.

Some of the attendees also used the occasion to showcase their products, such as traditional dresses, traditional fruits like eembe and eenyandi, traditional vegetables like ombidi and omavanda, traditional foodstuffs like omingome and omaadi eengobe, traditional household items like oimbale and omishalo, and so on.
