Vice President of Namibia Mrs Lucia Witbooi will be the keynote speaker at the fundraising gala dinner for this year’s Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition.
The gala dinner, taking place on 14 March, aims at raising more money than the N$740 000 raised last year.
Ondangwa public relations officer Mrs Petrina Shitalangaho saind that this year’s Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition (OTIE) will take place from 24 April to 2 May 2026 in Ondangwa under the theme “Connecting Local Trade to the World”.
“OTIE remains one of the Council’s key Local Economic Development initiatives aimed at promoting business activity, supporting enterprise development, and bringing essential civic services and goods closer to the community,” Shitalangaho said.
“The exhibition provides a platform for businesses, institutions, and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, foster innovation and explore new market opportunities.
“Building on the success of the 12th edition in 2025, which raised N$740 000 the exhibition continues to grow as a catalyst for economic growth and business collaboration.”
Shitalangaho stated that as part of preparations for OTIE 2026, a fundraising gala dinner has been planned for this weekend at Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition Centre.
“A fundraising gala dinner will be held and will be graced by Lucia Witbooi, Vice President of Namibia, underscoring the importance of the exhibition in advancing local trade and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors.
“Ondangwa Town Council invites businesses, institutions, and stakeholders to participate in OTIE 2026 and contribute to strengthening Ondangwa as a vibrant hub of trade and industry.”
