The Old Mutual Foundation has partnered with Unmatched Potential as Title Sponsor of the upcoming Street Sports Namibia Initiative, a youth development and community impact programme running across Swakopmund, Windhoek, and Ondangwa.

The six-month sponsorship, valued at N$900 000, reflects the Old Mutual Foundation’s commitment to fostering youth development and unlocking potential through sports and entrepreneurship.

Organised by Unmatched Potential, the initiative aims to create sustainable opportunities for Namibian youth and to bring communities together through active, weekly participation.

The partnership encompasses three core elements: The Title Sponsorship of the league, the provision of sports infrastructure and equipment, and the sponsorship of playing bibs.

The initiative will focus on two core sport codes, soccer and netball, offering consistent weekly community events for players, spectators, and supporters across the three towns.

The Old Mutual Foundation also holds the first right of refusal to continue its investment beyond the initial six-month period, along with the first right to sponsor the national finals to be held in Swakopmund following the conclusion of the league.

“The Old Mutual Foundation aims to deliver a wide range of social initiatives throughout Namibia, aligning with our purpose to support national and local developmental priorities in the communities in which we operate,” said Mignon du Preez, Old Mutual Namibia Group Marketing, Public Affairs and Sustainability Executive.

Etienne Raymond, Founder and CEO of Unmatched Potential and Business Box Namibia, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.

“The objective of this collaboration is to establish and build a meaningful partnership that delivers mutually beneficial outcomes,” said Raymond.

“We are thrilled to partner with an organisation that shares our vision for youth development, community impact, and unlocking potential through sports and entrepreneurship.”

The Street Sports Namibia Initiative will launch in a phased approach across the three target towns, beginning in Swakopmund on Sunday, 9 August 2026, followed by Ondangwa, and concluding in Windhoek on 16 August 2026.
