President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Namibia Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Mukopano, scheduled to take place on 3 September 2026 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort.
The event will bring together corporates, government, NGOs, funders, and development partners to strengthen collaboration and collective action towards sustainable socio-economic development.
Launched in July, the Namibia CSI Mukopano provides a platform for stakeholders committed to social impact to connect, exchange knowledge and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The word ‘Mukopano’, meaning a gathering of minds and stakeholders in Silozi, reflects the initiative’s focus on bringing different sectors together around a shared purpose.
Speaking ahead of the event, on behalf of the Mukopano partners, Tim Ekandjo, said the President’s participation reinforces the importance of collective responsibility in advancing Namibia’s development agenda.
“We are honoured to have Her Excellency the President join us for the inaugural Namibia CSI Mukopano. Her participation underscores the importance of collaboration between government, the private sector and civil society in advancing our country’s development,” said Ekandjo.
“There is significant work already being done across Namibia, but greater coordination allows us to share knowledge, combine strengths and extend the impact of our interventions to more communities.”
The CSI Mukopano will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, networking opportunities and collaborative sessions focused on areas including education, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, sustainability and innovation.
The gathering will also provide a networking platform for organisations implementing social impact initiatives and looking to broaden their networks, build strategic relationships and connect with stakeholders who share their development priorities.
These organisations are encouraged to attend, share the work being done within communities and explore potential opportunities for collaboration.
Ekandjo said the Mukopano seeks to encourage a shift from fragmented interventions towards partnerships that can achieve greater and more sustainable impact.
“This is bigger than any one company or organisation. It is a national effort, and there is room for everyone who genuinely wants to contribute towards Namibia’s development.
“By bringing more partners, ideas and initiatives into the same space, we can create stronger connections between those doing important work on the ground and those with the capacity to support and strengthen that work.”
The inaugural Namibia CSI Mukopano will take place on 3 September 2026 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort. Corporates, NGOs, government stakeholders, funders, development partners and organisations implementing social impact initiatives are encouraged to attend.
Ekandjo added that the Namibia CSI Mukopano also continues to welcome additional partners to join this national effort.
“Through greater collaboration, the initiative aims to mobilise expertise and resources, strengthen impactful interventions and ultimately enable more beneficiaries across Namibia to be reached.”
