The Old Mutual Youth Indaba which today took place at Ongwediva’s Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus of the University of Namibia shared some important and impactful information to about 150 young people who attended this annual event.

Taking place for the third time, this was the first time the Old Mutual Youth Indaba took place outside of Windhoek.

After welcoming remarks by Professor Jacob Sheehama, who is the director of both the University of Namibia Oshakati Campus and the Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus of the University of Namibia at Ongwediva, and a keynote address by the chairperson of the Old Mutual Foundation, Ms Patricia Olivier, the event kicked off with a panel discussion.

The panel discussion was followed by speakers who shared insightful knowledge about the challenges young people will have to navigate when they transition from the learning phase of their life journeys to the earning part.
