The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture has announced that N$1,020,796 has been approved to be divided between 42 individuals, 10 groups and seven organisations.

The money will come from the National Arts Council of Namibia’s Arts and Culture Covid-19 Relief Fund. The fund is meant to support artists who have lost income during the lock-down period as well as the continued effect Covid-19 has on the arts sector.

The successful applicants in the individual category will each receive N$2,000. The individual beneficiaries are as follows:

Only one person is from Kunene Region and none from regions such as Kavango West, Oshana, Oshikoto, Ohangwena, and Omusati.
