The 13th edition of Bank Windhoek Namibia Volleyball Federation Cup 2021 has kicked off at Ongwediva, with the country’s best volleyballers vying for top honours in the grand finale on the Namibian volleyball calendar.

The Far Northern Volleyball Association (FNVA) is hosting this first round of the event taking place on 6 to 7 November, while the Erongo Volleyball Association (EVA) will host the second round of the NVF Cup 2021 which will take place in Walvis Bay from 4 to 5 December 2021.

Teams that will qualify for the quarter finals will proceed to the second and final round in Walvis Bay where the champions will be crowned. The Champions in both male and female categories will represent Namibia at the Zone 6 Club Championships to be held in Maputo, Mozambique in January 2022.

The winners in both categories of men and women at this Bank Windhoek Namibia Volleyball Federation Cup 2021 will walk away with N$10 000, N$8000, N$6000 and N$2000 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.

The Revivals Volleyball Club will be the defending champion in the women’s category while the men’s category champion Khomas NamPol Volleyball Club narrowly lost their chance in qualifying for the tournament after they got beaten 3-1 by NDF in Windhoek.

In the first match of the women’s category at Ongwediva’s Court C, the Six Stars Volleyball Club outclassed Hippos Volleyball Club by winning 3-0. In the first set the score was 25 to 14, second set 25 to 17, and third set 25 to 22 all in favour of Six Stars.

In the first match of the men’s category at Court A, the Namibia Correctional Service Volleyball Club outshined B2G Volleyball Club, hammering them 3-0.
