Ongwediva United and Pescanova battled out today afternoon at Oshakati Independence Stadium in their encounter as each sought to improve their ranking in the Oshana second division league.
While the first half ended without any side finding the back of the net, it was only early in the second half when Pescanova opened the score sheet with a header from Johannes Shafodino. Shafodino capitalised on the chance which was created through a corner kick.
Ongwediva United, however, levelled the score card with a long range from the right flanker Kefas Shikemuni. Shikemuni’s strike became fruitful as Pescanova goal keeper’s vision was blurred by the sun and he allowed the ball to drop in the top left hand corner of the goal.
Ongwediva United’s goal came in the late part of the second half.
