Oshana Region has this morning kick-started its much anticipated indaba meant to discuss, analyse and present the region as an ideal destination for investment.
The two days event will bring together captains of industries, members of the business sectors locally, nationally and internationally, as well as policy makers and leaders of critical institutions in Oshana who will put their heads together in order to identify a way for investors to exploit opportunities in economic, social and other sectors of the Oshana region.
In welcoming the delegates to the conference Oshana Governor Elia Irimari described the gathering as a one-of-a-kind opportunity for those present to exercise their “power to unlock new opportunities that will shape the destiny of our Oshana region.”
The conference is graced by the Minister of Industrialisation and Trade Ms Lucia Iipumbu, who delivered the keynote address by Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah who in the end could not make it to the conference due to other commitments.
The conference will also see panel discussions on day two, such as a discussion by Ms Amalia Schmidt of NCCI, Mr Erastus Chicco Shapumba of NALOBA, and Mr Jason Emvula of NNFU.
Minister of Mines and Energy Mr Tom Alweendo has also been billed for the second day of the conference where he would present an “Overview of Green Hydrogen Project & Energy Supply Stability”.
