The Nedbank Kapana Cook-Off 2023 has today come to the salivating end as the judges have selected the three winners of a competition that will see to it that one of these three kapana vendors walks off with a mobile street vendor trailer worth N$100,000 and cash prize of N$10,000.
The final round of the Kapana Cook-Off took place today at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, where ten contestants displayed their kapana skills in front of three judges.
Each of the ten kapana contestants was given 45 minutes in which to prepare their dishes.
In the end the judges announced the three who have made it to the last three spots.
The three: Ester Silas, Loise Iimvula, and Laura Egumbo will tonight know who among them is the overall winner of the competition, the one who will walk away with the vendor trailer.
Laura Egumbo was in tears of joy to know that she is one of the three out of which the overall winner will be announced.
“I have tried this competition for the last five years,” Laura said as she wiped away the tears. Her message is for people never to give up as one day success will be theirs.
