Cricket Namibia has announced a partnership with Nutritional Performance Labs (NPL) as Cricket Namibia’s official ‘nutrition partner’.

The partnership, spanning two years, will see NPL supporting both the Richelieu Eagles and the Capricorn Eagles with nutritional products and services.

As part of the agreement, NPL will sponsor the Eagles with nutritional products, energy bars and training kit. Additionally, players will have direct access to NPL dieticians for personalized nutritional guidance.

Cricket Namibia CEO, Johan Muller said, “We are grateful to NPL for coming on board with our national teams. Nutrition is one of the most critical elements for high performance athletes.

“Our teams will be away on long tours this year and the nutritional edge is critical when you compete with the best in the world. NPL is a respected brand and leader in their field. We believe this is a great fit for both brands and it’s the start of a long partnership ahead!”

NPL representative in Namibia, Riaan Grobler said, “We are so pleased to partner with Cricket Namibia. With the two-year partnership and being Cricket Namibia’s Nutritional and Hydrade partner, I think we can help Cricket Namibia achieve even more.

“With the best products in the market, and the best team in Namibia, we are very proud to be associated with Cricket Namibia.”

In a statement, Natalia Nauyoma, Cricket Namibia’s marketing manager, said that the partnership with NPL comes at a good time for both the Richelieu Eagles and the Capricorn Eagles.

The Richelieu Eagles are gearing up for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

“The support from NPL will undoubtedly enhance the team’s performance and preparation for this prestigious tournament,” said Nauyoma.

“Meanwhile, the Capricorn Eagles have a busy year ahead with a packed schedule of games. The partnership with NPL will provide them with the necessary nutritional support to excel in their upcoming matches.”
