With Namibia having fallen off the pedestal as the most media-friendliest country in Africa, the next 12 months ought to see some occasions specially created to rekindle the relationship between the Namibian Government and the media, so as come May 2025 that Namibia may reclaim her rightful spot on the Reporters Sans Frontieres (Reporters Without Borders) radar.

Such occasions may have already started, as seen in this iconic image is Ministry of Information Communication Technology Executive Director Dr. Audrin Mathe, with Windhoek-based journalists, standing from left, Esther Mbathera (The Namibian newspaper), Jemima Beukes (Namibian Sun), and Shelleygan Petersen (Desert Radio).
