Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) has announced that this year’s Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair will have a “tech hub conference” where invited guests and stakeholders in the technology sector will have a full day of sharing experiences and ideas in an environment filled with fun.
“The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair is the largest, national, multi-sectoral trade and exhibition platform to be owned by a local authority (Ongwediva Town Council),” said John Ekongo, the manager for sponsorships, promotions and corporate affairs at MTC.
“This Tech Hub Conference will be a permanent and annual feature at the OATF.”
Ekongo said that the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair has been chosen to host this tech feature since it is the biggest trade fair which will provide more impact within the limits of the available budget.
“It has massive reach nationally, and we have obligations and commitment to the OATF.”
MTC will partner with Huawei and the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) in hosting the Tech Hub Conference at the trade fair.
Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair takes place from August 26 to 2 September this year.
