The tourism sector was the main winner at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair award giving ceremony as two institutions from this sector got recognition awards for their impressive presence at this prestigious northern trade fair.
Not only did the Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Forestry scoop the award for the Best Exhibit in the category of government ministries, offices and departments, the Namibia Tourism Board also took the award for Best Exhibit in the category of tourism and hospitality industry.
Other notable public sector institutions winners include the University of Namibia who received the award for Best Exhibit in the category of educational institutions, the Namibia Fish Consumption Trust which won the award of Best Exhibit in the category of fisheries and marine resources, and the Swakopmund Municipality which got the award of Best Exhibit in the category of regional and local authority councils.
