Lizwise Investment won an award worth N$400 000 at the Good Business and Innovation Awards held on 19 May in Windhoek.
The 2025 awards, hosted by the Development Bank of Namibia, were held under the theme “celebrating innovation and impact”.
The annual awards honour enterprises that have demonstrated excellence in innovation, sustainability, and contributions to Namibia’s socio-economic development.
Delivering the keynote address at the award-giving ceremony on behalf of Vice President Lucia Witbooi, Minister of Finance Ms Erikah Shafuda, underscored the government’s commitment to enterprise-led growth and industrial innovation.
“As we embark on a renewed journey of nation-building under the leadership of President Nandi-Ndaitwah, we are reminded that inclusive growth and innovation are not just aspirations, they are imperatives,” said Shafuda.
“The Development Bank of Namibia’s Good Business and Innovation Awards reflect this national vision by honouring enterprises that build sustainable industries, create lasting jobs, and drive transformative impact across communities.”
Also speaking at the event, DBN Deputy Board Chairperson, Willy Mertens, reflected on the Bank’s two-decade journey in advancing Namibia’s development agenda.
“For two decades, the Development Bank of Namibia has been a steadfast partner in building a resilient and inclusive economy,” he said.
