This year at the Miss Universe 2025 pageantry, Namibia will be represented by a young woman who embodies the “naturally Namibian” sentiment.

Johanna Swartbooi will contest against 120 women from 120 countries for the crown of Miss Universe 2025 at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand, during the night of 21 November.

Born at Vaalgrass, a small community in southern Namibia, Swartbooi carries the hopes of many Namibians hoping for her to be crowned the most beautiful woman of the universe 33 years after the same crown was last worn by Namibia’s Michelle McLean in 1992.
