The MTC Wine Extravaganza, now in its fifth year, returns in 2026 with excitement and a promise to be bigger, more inclusive, and immersive than ever before.

Widely regarded as Namibia’s most anticipated wine event, this year’s edition transforms into a truly national celebration, bringing together sommeliers, wine lovers, lifestyle enthusiasts, and social tastemakers from across the country.

The 2026 MTC Wine Extravaganza will kick off in Ongwediva at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Grounds on 29 and 30 May 2026, before moving to Windhoek at Mövenpick Hotel Windhoek on 4, 5, and 6 June 2026.

In a statement, MTC officials said that maintaining Ongwediva is deliberate for continuous inclusivity and making sure that the event’s social calendar is widely spread and reaches the northern connoisseurs for a premium lifestyle experience.

This year in Windhoek, the event will be hosted at Mövenpick Hotel Windhoek, allowing a more glamorous, expansive, and elevated experience that reflects the sophistication of the event.

This year’s edition will feature an expanded selection of wine brands, the introduction of new and local winemakers, enhanced entertainment and curated experiences, and a more immersive and engaging event environment designed to elevate every moment.

Under the theme “Carnival in Venice”, guests are invited into a world of mystery and grandeur, where a captivating masquerade setting will set the stage for an unforgettable evening of wine, elegance, and celebration.

“This years’ experience promises a visually striking atmosphere, blending sophistication with intrigue, and offering a refined yet vibrant celebration of wine culture,” they said.

Speaking further on the upcoming event, MTC noted that the Wine Extravaganza continues to be a key platform for connecting people through shared experiences, while also positioning Namibia within a growing global lifestyle and entertainment space.

The event caters to a diverse audience, including wine enthusiasts, young professionals, corporate clients, and social groups, while also appealing to influencers, hospitality stakeholders, and premium lifestyle consumers seeking memorable experiences.

As anticipation builds, one message is clear: the MTC Wine Extravaganza 2026 is not just an event: it is a celebration of culture, connection, and the finer things in life.
