The air was filled with tantalising aromas as Nedbank Namibia proudly announced the launch of the 2024 Nedbank Kapana Cook-off Competition at Bra Q’s in Katutura on Friday, 17 May 2024.
This year’s competition marks a decade of culinary excellence and entrepreneurial empowerment.
At the media launch, 18 media teams were given the opportunity to prepare their own kapana dishes and impress the judges with their preparations which were scored based on hygiene, taste, skills, presentation and creativity.
The Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) prepared the best kapana on the day, and won themselves a gift hamper for their efforts.
The NBC-Touch FM and NMH’s MyZone team, also received gift hampers for being the best dressed and best team spirit on the day.
Speaking at the launch was Nedbank Namibia Head of SME, Sam Ikela, who said: “SME is a crucial accelerator of our nation’s economic growth, and our investment in the competition serves as a beacon of hope for buddying entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform to flourish.”
