Diana, a 23-year-old gospel artist from Oshakati, has released three singles which are dedicated to sharing the transformative power of praise and worship.
With the three singles, ‘Grateful’, ‘More of You’, and ‘My God’, she invites listeners to experience God’s love and grace.
Inspired by her relationship with Jesus Christ, Diana’s music is a channel for spiritual connection and empowerment, aiming to inspire gratitude, worship, and healing.
She also shares her passion for ministry through live performances, believing in music’s power to unite and transform lives.
Diana’s musical journey started some years ago.
“I started singing at a very young age—around 10 years old,” she says.
“Growing up, music was always an important part of my life, and I frequently participated in singing competitions held in preschool.”
As she grew older and focused more on her spiritual life and faith, she became deeply influenced by the uplifting and soul-stirring nature of gospel music.
“It felt like the perfect way to express my faith and emotions through my musical talent. The powerful messages of hope, love, and strength in gospel music have always resonated with me, and I felt called to use my voice to share that same message with others.”
Her music recording journey began in 2020 with secular music, where she spent about two years developing her craft.
“During that time, I explored different styles and worked on finding my voice. However, as I grew spiritually, I felt a deep calling to transition into gospel music.
“Last year, I decided to dedicate my talent to sharing messages of hope, faith, and love through gospel music. This transition has been incredibly powerful and transformative for me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my voice to inspire others and share the love of God.
“My journey into recording gospel music began in 2024. My first single, Grateful, was released on the 7th of May 2024, followed by my second single, More of You, released on the 20th of July 2024.
“The third single, My God, was released on the 22nd of December 2024. Each of these songs reflects different stages of my growth as an artist, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my music with the world.”
Diana describes her music as mind-refreshing and soul-enriching.
“My music inspires faith, uplifts the spirit, and connects listeners with a deeper sense of hope, love, and reflection on their spiritual journey,” she says.
As a young recording artist and songwriter, Diana says that she has faced some challenges.
“As a young gospel artist, I’ve faced challenges like staying true to my faith while appealing to a wider audience, and balancing the spiritual depth of my music with commercial expectations.
“Access to resources, such as professional studios and production, has been limited, and building a dedicated fanbase requires constant effort.
“There’s also the pressure of being a role model while navigating the traditional aspects of gospel music and finding my unique voice.
“Despite these hurdles, my passion for spreading messages of hope and faith through music keeps me motivated to keep growing and keep going along my musical journey.”
Diana says that it’s still a bit early to set a specific release date for her full album. “But I’m currently working on a few songs that I’m excited about.
“I believe these tracks are a step in the right direction and will give my audience a glimpse into the sound and message I’m aiming to share. I’m working hard to make sure everything is just right, so stay tuned for updates.”
