MTC hosted a sponsorship beneficiaries engagement workshop in Windhoek, bringing together its sponsored partners for a focused session on governance, brand alignment, and effective sponsorship management.
The workshop forms part of MTC’s continued efforts to strengthen the impact and accountability of its sponsorship portfolio.
Representatives from MTC’s events, communication, marketing, and sponsorship departments provided beneficiaries with practical guidance on brand handling, media engagement, marketing alignment, and financial processes requirements linked to sponsored events.
MTC currently supports 13 sponsorship beneficiaries, with a total sponsorship value of N$19.3 million.
When combined with other sponsorship commitments, MTC’s overall sponsorship investment amounts to over N$30 million, underscoring the company’s sustained commitment to supporting sport, arts, culture, and community development initiatives across Namibia.
Addressing the beneficiaries, MTC Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability Officer, Tim Ekandjo, emphasised the importance of governance, ethics, and social impact.
He noted that MTC is honoured to be associated with its beneficiaries, recognising them as Namibian entities that have built strong brands in their respective fields.
“However, let me stress that these partnerships come with clear rules and responsibilities to ensure healthy, regulated relationships,” Ekandjo said.
Ekandjo further encouraged beneficiaries to remain focused on impact, stating that MTC’s goal is to continue investing in initiatives that positively change lives, empower youth, and contribute to building a Namibia that future generations can be proud of.
“I urge you to collaborate, leverage synergies among themselves, and continuously strive for excellence.”
He also cautioned against complacency, reminding beneficiaries that sponsorship should not be viewed as an endpoint, but as an opportunity to grow, remain inclusive, and extend impact beyond themselves.
Beneficiaries were encouraged to reflect on what success truly means and to ensure that their achievements uplift others and contribute meaningfully to national development.
The engagement reinforced MTC’s approach to sponsorship as a strategic partnership built on mutual value, accountability, and shared responsibility.
