Namibia’s national soccer team will play against Zambia in the final of the COSAFA Cup.

The match takes place on 17 July, at 19h00, at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Namibia beat Mozambique by a solitary goal yesterday to book a place in the final, while Zambia beat Senegal by 4 goals to 3 to book a place in the final against Namibia. Namibia’s goal against Mozambique was scored by Bethuel Muzeu.

Namibia won the COSAFA Cup in 2015 when Ricardo Manetti was the team’s new coach.

The same feat is expected of new coach Collin Benjamin who last month took charge of a youthful team hungry for football as a result of the domestic football that has been dormant for several years.
