The Namibian Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) as a responsible corporate citizen plays a meaningful role in society by funding projects and activities that positively contribute to national development in Namibia.
In this regard, NAMFISA identified and supported activities within communities through which it created the highest level of positive impact given the limited resources at its disposal.
During the official handover ceremony of beneficiaries which took place recently in Windhoek, NAMFISA’s CEO Mr Kenneth Matomola explained that consumers of financial services extend across Namibia, therefore sponsorships and investments should be representative as such.
“The corporate social responsibility operations are enshrined in NAMFISA CSRIPolicy that focuses on the following areas: Educational initiatives, Sports, Arts and Culture, General (i.e. health, national concerns), and Informational Communication Technology,” matomola said, adding that NAMFISA encourages its employees to actively participate in CSRI initiatives through identifying deserving causes or volunteering their time.
