Namibia will be facing neighboring Angola in the round of 16 on Saturday afternoon at the African Cup of Nations.

Namibia qualified to the next round after holding Mali to a 0-0 draw. The draw made Namibia to go to the next round after beating Tunisia and drawing with Mali but losing to South Africa in the group stage.

Namibia’s chances to go through looked slim after losing 4-0 to South Africa in the weekend since they had to face Mali who had beaten South Africa.

But Namibia held on and collected the point against Mali which made sure that for the first time in history Namibia made it out of the group stages at the African Cup of Nations in its 4th appearance.
