In an effort to promote local businesses in the agricultural sector and boost local produce, the Otji Farmers Market kicked off on 30 April at Otjiwarongo town’s CBD lawn alongside the B1 main road.
The monthly one day event brought together farmers, local producers and entrepreneurs to exhibit and sell their freshly produced fruits and vegetables, varieties of homemade treats and other delicacies.
Farming equipment were also on sale at the event.
The Otji Farmers Market is a monthly community-led initiative supported by the Municipality of Otjiwarongo whereby local farmers, producers and vendors showcase their local products and services.
