Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair comes only once in a year. And when it comes it brings with it a flood of opportunities for local enterprises.
One such enterprise is Sindo Photographic cc, an Oshana-based business which provides a variety of services such as photography services, photocopies, document lamination, and others.
“We have grabbed this opportunity to provide our services at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair,” says Mr Sheehama Frans, the owner of Sindo Photographic.
“People no longer have to go out of the trade fair grounds to do copies or get passport photos when they need assistance in the trade fair.
“Even the educational institutions just come to us when they need more copies at their stalls.”
Talking to Omutumwa on the 30th of August 2025, Frans says that since the beginning of the fair on 22 August, business has been good.
Since 2014 Sindo Photographic has consistently exhibited its services at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair. Despite paying N$3,600 for an outside stall, Frans says that the returns on their participation at this trade fair, “it’s just enough, survival is like that.”
He urges other entrepreneurs to apply every year for this type of opportunities, saying that it is worth it.
Sindo Photographic has been taking part at other trade fairs such as Oshakati Totem Expo, Helao Nafidi Business Expo, Eenhana Expo, and Olufuko Cultural Expo. But it has never been at Ondangwa Business and Industrial Expo, saying that the security provision at Ondangwa Business and Industrial Expo is never satisfactory.
“Here you can leave the stall as it is through the night, the security guards are many on the ground,” Frans states.
“We are grateful for the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair. The town council must continue to organise such a great trade fair.
“We also thank our customers for their continuous support.”
