After nearly a decade away from the spotlight, Windhoek-born singer Jermain De Voss, professionally known as Jermain, is making a powerful return to music with the release of his debut single “Take Me Away,” set to drop on 27 March 2026 across all major streaming platforms.
Originally known to fans as Jermain Casper, the Khomasdal-raised artist first made waves in the local music scene with his heartfelt R&B and Pop sound in 2017.
Known for soulful storytelling and emotionally driven lyrics, he built a growing fanbase with songs such as “Love Me” and “Game Over,” and his album “Ninety Six 96.” His music also gained radio play on several local stations, positioning him as one of the promising voices in Namibia’s contemporary R&B scene.
However, at the height of his early momentum, Jermain stepped away from the industry to focus on his studies and personal growth.
Now, nine years later, he returns with a renewed vision and a refined sound.
Reintroducing himself simply as Jermain, the independent artist is entering a new era that blends Afrobeats, Pop and R&B, while staying true to the raw emotion and storytelling that first defined his music.
His upcoming single “Take Me Away” marks the beginning of this new chapter.
“This release represents growth, reflection and a fresh start,” Jermain says. “Taking time away helped me rediscover who I am, both as a person and as an artist.”
With the global rise of Afrobeats and the continued evolution of Pop and R&B, Jermain hopes his music will connect with listeners both locally and internationally.
As an independent artist, he is now focused on building his career authentically while sharing music that reflects his journey.
“Take Me Away” is officially available as of 27 March 2026 on all major streaming platforms, marking Jermain’s long-awaited return to the music scene.
As he steps back into the spotlight, the singer hopes both longtime supporters and new listeners will join him for this exciting new chapter.
