Young T was the main act at the International University of Management (IUM) Winter Convocation held recently at Ongwediva.

The convocation was a graduation event for more than 1000 young people who had completed their studies for certificates, diplomas and degrees at the university’s campuses of Ongwediva, Nkurenkuru and Eenhana.

The event that took place at Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair Centre was attended by more than 3000 people, who mostly were parents and relatives of graduates.

IUM founder Dr David Namwandi was also in attendance, as well as the university’s chancellor Bishop Shekutaamba VV Nambala.

Although the programme was packed with speeches, handing over of qualification papers and an oathtaking of educator graduates, there were interludes of entertainment by IUM Ongwediva Choir, IUM Eenhana SCM, James Omlongo and Young T.

But it was Young T who had lightened up the house with a few of his new hits as well as one of his old hit songs: “efikulimwe naame aikalanda etuwa lange” which had the graduates dance with him.
