Capricorn Group has announced the appointment of Ms Nangula Hamunyela as an independent non-executive director of Capricorn Group, effective 2 July 2026.
Ms Hamunyela succeeds Ms Elize Fahl, who resigned from the Board effective 1 July 2026 after five years of service as an independent non-executive director of the Group.
On behalf of the Board, Capricorn Group extended its appreciation to Ms Fahl for her valuable contribution and dedicated service to the Group and wished her every success in her future endeavours.
Ms Hamunyela brings more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, where she has played a key role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that support organisational performance and sustainable growth.
She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, among other management qualifications.
Hamunyela previously served as Managing Director of Engen Namibia and Nedloans, and as Board Chairperson of Namport. She currently serves as Chairperson of BW Finance (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Bank Windhoek, and the Namibia Procurement Fund.
Capricorn Group Board Chairperson, Gerhard Fourie, welcomed Ms Hamunyela’s appointment, noting that her extensive leadership experience, governance insight and strategic perspective will contribute meaningfully to the Group as it continues to advance its strategic priorities and create value for its stakeholders.
