MTC Maris and Stratosphere Investment have announced a new partnership that positions MTC Maris as the title sponsor of the 09 Music Festival 2026, one of Namibia’s exciting entertainment and lifestyle platforms.

The festival will now be officially known as the “MTC Maris 09 Music Festival”.

The sponsorship, valued at N$500,000, reflects MTC Maris’ continued commitment to supporting local platforms that celebrate Namibian music, youth culture, entrepreneurship, sport, and digital payment innovation.

Scheduled for 2 to 3 October 2026 at the Unam Stadium, the festival will bring together music lovers, artists, traders, creatives, sports teams, and communities for an entertainment and lifestyle experience that celebrates Namibian talent, youth culture, entrepreneurship, and digital payment innovation.

Through the sponsorship, MTC Maris will serve as the festival’s exclusive official payment partner, enabling cashless trading across ticketing, food and beverage stalls, merchandise, and vendor points.

The brand will also host an activation space where attendees can engage with the platform and learn more about its secure, convenient, and accessible payment solutions.

Speaking on the partnership, Kayembe Ilunga, General Manager for Fintech & MTC Maris Executive Director, said the sponsorship reflects the brand’s commitment to meeting Namibians where culture, lifestyle, and innovation intersect.

“The MTC Maris 09 Music Festival is a vibrant platform that speaks directly to the energy and creativity of our people.

“We are proud to support an event that celebrates music and entertainment while creating opportunities for traders, artists, and communities to participate in a growing digital economy.”

Morocky Mbwaluh, Chief Executive Officer of Stratosphere Investment, welcomed the partnership, noting that MTC Maris’ support will enhance the festival’s delivery and overall experience.

“This collaboration allows us to elevate the festival experience, improve convenience for attendees and traders, and continue building a platform that celebrates Namibian talent, culture, and enterprise,” said Mbwaluh.

The 2026 edition will also feature a seven-a-side soccer tournament, strengthening the festival’s identity as a multi-dimensional platform that brings together music, sport, lifestyle, business, and community engagement.

Through this partnership, MTC Maris and Stratosphere Investment aim to deliver an experience that is entertaining, inclusive, digitally enabled, and proudly Namibian.
