Twenty entrepreneurs are presently pitching before a panel of five adjudicators in Windhoek to be granted cash donations to boost their business operations.

Each of the twenty business owners will know by the end of the day if the adjudicators have positively evaluated and assessed his or her business and considered it fitting to benefit from a grant under the Pitching for Resilience (P4R) programme.

This is the second P4R grant programme running in Khomas Region.

The first one took place a week ago and 15 entrepreneurs were allocated grants, with the lowest being N$7,155 and the highest N$22, 218.

The P4R grants programme will run in all 14 regions twice, facilitated by SMEs Compete and supported by German cooperation in development agency GIZ.

“It provides a lifeline to entrepreneurs who have been in business for three years or longer and meet other programme entry eligibility criteria. This is a cash amount given in support to keep the lights at businesses on, figuratively speaking, thereby to make the business resilient during this difficult period of Covid-19,” says Mr. Danny Meyer, CEO of SMEs Compete who is running the programme.
