
Namibia’s senior women national soccer team, the Brave Gladiators, has finally won the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Cup after beating South Africa in the final of the competition.
Namibia came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over South Africa in the final round of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship yesterday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa.
Nthabiseng Majiya opened the scoring for Banyana Banyana. But Gladiators forward Muhinatjo Hanavi leveled the score, while Memory Ngonda came from the bench to seal the winning goal for the Gladiators.
Namibia’s striker Zenatha Coleman was named the Best Player of the Competition.
