Ohangwena Athletics Club dominated the Pupkewitz Foundation Open Athletics Championship held in Swakopmund on 2 September 2023 where the club of youthful Ohangwena athletes collected a total of 46 medals.

Of the 46 medals, 31 of them were gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze.

Despite tough competition against athletes from 19 other clubs from across Namibia, Ohangwena Athletics Club emerged the overall winner as all the youngsters from Ohangwena were up to the task.

The athletes of Ohangwena Athletics Club emerged victorious as follows:

Elizabeth Kalola (2 golds), Monika Kandjebo (3 golds), Rosalia Kandiba (2 silvers), Juda Ndiwakalunga (2 golds), Linda Hailulu (1 silver), Amon Nekundi (2 golds), Simon Shifidi (1 gold, 1 silver), Andreas Dumeni (1 gold, 2 silvers), Maria Kashihalwa (1 silver, 1 bronze), Rauna Ngula (1 gold, 1 silver), Ester Petrus (1 gold, 1 bronze), Sophie Kambonde (2 golds), Esmelda Pena (3 golds), Joe Ntinda (2 golds, 1 silver), Ester Shikongo (2 golds), Wilka Nauyoma (1 gold, 1 silver), Saima Immanuel (2 golds), Johanna Nghifindwako (2 golds), Cosmas Haindongo (1 silver, 1 bronze), and Rejoice Cahonjo (1 bronze).

Of the total number of 20 athletes from Ohangwena Athletics Club who participated in the championship, a total number of 20 of them won medals, with two of them breaking previous records.

Some of them also received individual awards as follows: Juda Ndiwakalunga received a gold medal for Best Female U13;

Wilka Nauyoma received a gold medal for Best Female U15;

While Monika Kandjebo received a gold medal for Best Female U17 and also a gold medal for Sport Star Female of the championship.
