Ondangwa’s 7-year-old golf sensation Hage Auala was the most consistent golfer of the series and the overall champion for the Pre to Primary Boys Non-Handicap division at the Momentum Junior Golf Series.

The series took place in Windhoek and attracted the participation of 34 junior golfers.

The Momentum–sponsored six golfing events started in May and ended on 30 October, at which Charlie Lohman stood out as the individual overall winner with 38 strokes.

But the big winners were the young and future prospects for Namibian golf who won their divisions such as Tapi Katsvara (B-Division Overall Winner), Quade Beukes (C-Division Overall Winner), Marcel Stiemert (D-Division Overall Winner), Rishabh Talwar (High School Boys Non-Hcap Winner), Z. Delport (Primary School Girls Non-Hcap Winner), M. Bart (Primary School Boys Non-Hcap Winner), and Hage Auala (Pre to Primary Boys Non-Hcap Winner).

Windhoek Gymnasium Private School won the School Cup category.

“It was really good, and the juniors showed great talent. The interest of parents was also impressive,” said series event organiser Mr Damian da Silva.

“By next year we are looking at increasing the series from six to ten since we will expect as much as 50 juniors to participate.”
