Great soccer display is expected to be dished out during the days leading into the new year as some of the best community-based teams around Omaalala and Eheke settlements lock horns at the Amunganda Annual Soccer Tournament.
The Amunganda Annual Soccer Tournament 2023 which starts on 30 December 2023 and ends on 1 January 2024 is set to see one team walk away with a floating trophy and cash of N$5,000 and 18 gold medals as first prize.
The second prize will be N$3,000 and 18 silver medals, while the semi-best loser gets N$2,000 and 18 bronze medals.
Some of the teams expected to display great football are such as Amunganda B, Omaalala FC, Okapya Bridge, Watford FC, Amunganda A, Mulan FC, Omaalala City and Onelago United.
The tournament is part of the Amunganda Festival Volume 2 which started on 28 December 2023 with a mini business expo and other entertainment activities, and ends on 1 January 2024.
