The newly elected Regional Councilor for Guinas Constituency, Mr Moses //Khumub was on 27 January sworn in as a Member of the Oshikoto Regional Council at a Special Council Meeting held at Omuthiya.
Mr Nelumbu Kamati of Onayena Constituency was also nominated and sworn in as a new Member of the Management Committee.
//Khumub was elected during the by-election held on 17 January 2025 following the death of the former Guinas Regional Councilor Mr Elias Kainda Marthinu who passed away in October last year.
Mathinu served as Regional Councilor for Guinas Constituency and a member the Management Committee at Oshikoto Regional Council.
“As a Members of this Council, let us welcome the new Colleague to the team with all our hearts and provide him with necessary support he may require,” says the Oshikoto Regional Council Chairperson Mr Samuel Panduleni Shivute when delivering his congratulatory remarks.
“I wish you strength and wisdom my dear brother, to continue where your predecessor ended in serving our community with diligence,” said Mr Penda Ya Ndakolo, Oshikoto’s Regional Governor.
