The nature of God
By Josefina Gabriel /
There are those who don’t believe in God. Some say there is no God. It’s not a problem, that’s what they want to believe.
But if you take some time to think deep about it then you will know that God exists.
If you’re one of the people who believe that God exists, but maybe you only don’t know the nature of God, then you’re already standing at the beginning of the end of the problem you might be going through.
Christians believe that God is one but exists in three different ‘persons’: God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. And through this combination of three-in-one God can yet be described in different forms that can easily give you a better picture of him.
And once you get a better picture of God you will realize that nothing on earth or in heaven is impossible or beyond God’s power or authority to handle.
One of the most important characteristics of God is that he is the everlasting God. God is eternal. By that it means that God will never come to an end, will never die or stop to exist. Is it then not wonderful to put your trust in someone who is and will be forever?
God is also merciful. Gracious, Patient, Loving, Faithful, Forgiving, Just, Holy, Creator, Savior, Healer, Comforter.
And yet another unique nature of God is that God is a spirit. And since God is a spirit he is everywhere. He is in charge of everything. He is in charge of the life of everyone.
God created everything and everyone. God created the world. God created you. And God created angels, and one of those angels became the Devil. So God allows the Devil to test us, to test our strength and faith. God wants to see whether we do have potential to become great.
God can never allow you to experience a problem you have no power to handle. Your problems will only be as big as the potential you have for greatness. The greater the potential in you, the greater the test.
If God has given you a great gift, then Satan will be jealous and envious and try to take the gift away. How you fight back and win the battle will determine whether you deserve the gift or not.
This is why no matter what a person is going through, you must never give up. You don’t need to give up because God who gave you the life he is still in control of this life and will shape it for the better if you allow him.
