The Oshana Village Based Football League (OVBFL) honored its best players and officials for the just ended 2023/24 season.
At a ceremony held at Omaalala in the weekend, Mr Arvo Mufeti and Mr Fillipus Lukas were each awarded the honor of “Most Supportive Person” of the 2023/24 season.
While Nikanor Immanuel, a player for Unam HP Campus FC, received the honor of being the “Top Goalscorer of the Season”, it was Erastus Shuumbwa Nangolo of Mayfield FC who got the award for “ Most Disciplined Player of the Season”.
Others who received the nod are Ekandjo Christian, the “Best Youngest Talented Player of the Season”, Andreas Egidius, the “Best Goalkeeper of the Season”, Shipanga David, the “Best Defender of the Season”, and Gerson D Fillipus, the “Best Midfielder of the Season.”
Amadhila Johannes was the “Beast Coach of the Season”, while the “Best Referee Award” went to Jonas Paulus, and “Best Assistant of the Season” was Andreas Tobias.
Sponsors also received awards of recognition for their contribution to the beautiful game of soccer.
Okapya Liner Transport, The Trophy Palace, Woza Network, Palm View Park, General Kambonde Transport Trading cc, General Kambonde Financial Services cc, and Kullo Investments all were awarded.
The league’s champion, Unam HP Campus FC, walked away with a full kit sponsored by Okapya Liner Transport and a trophy.
